A typical overhead flare system includes a flare head, an ever-bright lamp, an igniter, a gas sealer, a flare barrel, a water seal tank, a liquid separation tank, and other process equipment. According to the different support methods, the elevated torch can be divided into three ways: tower support, cable support, and self-supporting support. According to the different combustion support methods, the elevated torch can be divided into various forms such as steam combustion, blast combustion, non-combustion, sonic combustion, heat storage combustion, and combustion support. According to the different applications and flare gas characteristics, the elevated flare can also be divided into refinery flare, syngas flare, natural gas flare, acetic acid flare, acid gas flare, ammonia flare, offshore platform flare, cold (hot) flare and other forms.
